Wait Times too long

I live in an urban area where fixed route transportation is an option. However, available transportation options may have limited run times or require more than one transfer making what should be a ten minute trip turn into a two hour trip, not taking into account traffic and other delays.

Current navigation apps do not always present practical or accurate routes-- and do not accurately reflect transportation availability.... more »

A "panic button" or plan in place for when things go awry

Different cities offer similar transit plans and/or shared ride services (SRS) but all of them are flawed in one particular aspect. There is no "panic button" or plan in place for when things go awry--accidents, break-downs, massive traffic situations, or emergency situations that eliminate the structure/accommodations in place for someone who is disabled. Location, location, location

With closest stop about 1/2 Mile from the independent living facility I currently live in I would like to see a stop added or some sort of van made available for those of us who are unable to travel that on our own but do not qualify for special pick ups.

In fact I see that in the suburban areas the service is few and hours in between. I bit more attention to the census this year might help.

Entrance to All Types of Stores

Not all doors are accessible? I was at Penny`s this weekend, you push the button to go through the 1st-door & you barely have enough room once you push the button to go through the 2nd door?

A terrible setup for those with Disabilities. All stores need to access for those with Disabilities.

Equal Access for All

A common journey planning system should incorporate features & functions for people with cognitive disabilities to travel more independently throughout a city vs being dependent on more traditional alternative modes of transportation like paratransit. Features might include easier to understand navigation, more verbal prompts and visual guides as well as confirmation of Origin & Destination to the individuals care-giver... more »
